As of August 2008, it will be five years that we have been "seasonal"
campers/transients; We have stayed in campgrounds all over North
America and we consider Woodhaven to be, not only clean and friendly;
the owners are not biased to individual campers but are very
professional on how the campground is operated. We have the utmost
respect for the Buchanan's and would suggest to any campers passing
through, to experience the Woodhaven Camping experience.

Dear Bernie & Karrie-Ann
Thank you so much for your hospitality during our recent Adventure
Caravan stay. Everyone had a wonderful time and especially
enjoyed the use of the clubhouse. We left our American flag
behind but sorry to say our guests packed up all your salt and pepper
shakers and we found them at our next stop! The Tattoo was a highlight
of the trip!
See you again...

Hi,
I just wanted to say thank you Bernie for your
assistance during our recent vehicle breakdown. It was
above and beyond RV Park management to come and haul
our 5th wheel for us. VERY much appreciated.
Over the past decade or so, I have stayed in RV parks
throughout North America, and yours ranks near the top
as a pleasant, well run park. I intend to recommend
your park to anyone visiting the Halifax area.

"This campground is about as central to excursions to Halifax and Peggy’s Cove as
you could find. The sites can be a little close but it’s not uncomfortable. The
seasonal campers were delightful. There was a little bit of “kid” noise on
Saturday night but it went away after 10:00. The people running the place were
uniformly pleasant and accommodating. Wi-Fi worked well. A really good facility
and we would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer."
"Nice quiet park. Many transient workers which kept the party to a minimum.
Arrived late at night, owner said to square up with him in the AM which was
nice. Close to downtown Halifax. Great experience. We camped here in a Tent
Trailer."
"Run by a very pleasant couple who pay close attention to the park and are quite
easy to work with. Some of the 50 amp sites are tight for a big rig so you might
like to pick and choose carefully. WiFi works well but we had an Ugly American
in the park who would turn on his Direct Way dish and black out the whole park.
I am not sure it is even legal for him to operate a microwave setup like this
outside of the U.S. We are US citizens also. Halifax is a lovely city with
plenty to see and do. The park is within 15 minutes drive of just about
everything. Make sure to get directions to Jim's Seafood and Pizza! We camped
here in a Motorhome."
